On the Beach

Finally watched this classic film from 1959 last night. I've seen it before, but it's been a while. It is a pretty powerful condemnation of nuclear war, but it's also a little heavy handed here and there. You should check it out, though. I still have several episodes of The Greatest American Hero to watch before I send the disc back. I'm not sure why I don't watch them; I loved that show twenty yrs ago.
I've ordered some Gaelic Storm CD's. I couldn't help myself.
It looks like the shuttle launch will be postponed. Oh, well.

Gaelic Storm!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Maureen and Patsy for joining me at the Odeum for Gaelic Storm. It was an incredible show....the best Irish show I've ever seen. Well, Makem and Clancy during the late 70's-early 80's was pretty awesome too.
We ate at Ward's on Saturday before the show. Mixed girll for me, steak and mushrooms for the ladies. Everything was delicious..
Hope Fran is feeling better.

It's Tax Day!!!

I filed my taxes in February; best thing I do all year is to get that out of the way as soon as possible. Going through all this is so stupid to begin with. Take the money out of my paycheck, no deductions, done.
Going to see Gaelic Storm this weekend with Maureen, Fran and Patsy. I look forward to it...and to dinner before the show. It will also be the first showing of my slightly remodelled house. I might even clean!
